Story of Two Delayed Indefinitely; Release Plan to be Reevaluated

It has come to my attention these past few days that the means by which The Story of Two is being developed for Xbox is no longer available for acceptance on the platform, and in fact has been removed from consideration since the beginning of this year. Although a replacement method has been identified and is in active consideration, the success of that method is as yet unknown as I have both the requirement of discussing the plan with a representative of that vendor in addition to a licensing issue which may preclude the use of that method as the intermediary layer that I would require is considered under that license as a direct competitor, such that the use of certain required assets under that license is not allowed in such a context. Needless to say, but this has created a bit of a legal and logistical conundrum that will need to be sorted out before any real work on The Story of Two (or any similar projects) can be considered to be fully completed and prepared for any kind of public evaluation.

Thus, it is with a heavy heart that I am required to delay The Story of Two for an unknown and indefinite amount of time while these issues are sorted out. Although this is not something that I was planning to do by any means, the realities of platform distribution requirements and the legal consequences of licensing compliance are a constantly evolving breed which must be taken into consideration without the slightest bit of hesitation upon the realization of such matters, and as an indie developer I cannot afford to make any legal missteps which the applicable parties may find to be in violation of those requirements.

It should also be mentioned that as the only remaining project that is currently active under the Zero Break Games label, the future of this project may also be tied to the future of business viability. Should The Story of Two be ineligible for release in its current form, the consequences would be devastating for the entire Zero Break Games initiative, and I do not have any guarantee that I would be able to take on any other projects on the concern that I would be able to sufficiently replace the provisions that have allowed for the development of The Story of Two to proceed until now.

Further updates on this unplanned complication (and any final decisions regarding the means to proceed) will be posted at the earliest possible opportunity. Although on the bright side, there is the matter that this replacement method (should it succeed, and the licensing matters be satisfactorily accommodated) will open things up to support a multi-platform release for The Story of Two.
